My name is Katherine Roberts and I love food.
I read cookbooks like novels, research restaurants online like it’s my second job and relish my Saturday mornings watching cooking shows on television. Before there was Food Network, my mother and I watched PBS– Julia, Jacques, Joanne and Jeff; and I loved every minute of it, even as a first grader, fifth grader, high school senior and beyond.
I have lived in the Midwest, the Mid-Atlantic, New England, the top and bottom of California and currently reside in mile-high Denver, CO. If you want to find me, there’s a good chance I’m sipping sparkling wine at one of the tables around town. Though I’m also just as likely to be eating a fried mozzarella stick at a disgusting diner. Look, I’d eat a shoe if it were breaded and deep-fried– don’t hate.
Food– it’s where it’s at. At least for me.
A word about the details: this website isn’t for every cook. Some of the recipes are time-consuming and, frankly, hard. BUT, some others are also incredibly easy and fun. You’ll be able to gauge whether one is right for your kitchen probably just by skimming the ingredient list and reading it all the way through before you start the cooking process. I hope this encourages you to try something new and interesting!
Enjoy the website and eat up– it’s a delicious life,
KMR
Love the mini-Katherine pic- too cute!
Dessert is my best friend and I hate her… Lol!
anything with Whipped cream (tons of it), pastry and fruit…..
O to think that you began your journalism career in the classroom of Johnson D?? How very far you have come, my little bowl licker.
My dad also was a catsupy kinda guy—eggs, cottage cheese–maybe it was a greatest generation thing?
Hi Katherine,
I’m Susan’s cousin and we met at my mom’s house in Cheviot Hills Thanksgiving weekend. FINALLY had the chance to savor your site today and am dreaming of the delicious recipes I’m going to try in the weeks to come! Thanks and I look forward to January’s offerings!
Happy new year,
Sharon
